Our apartment in Thirsk, North Yorkshire – Finkleloft – is a comfortable, well equipped one bedroom apartment on the top floor accessed by three flights of stairs. There is one designated parking space. Sorry no pets and no smoking.
Cod Beck is at the rear of the property which is set in a peaceful setting a short walk (300yds) from Thirsk’s cobbled market place. There is a twice weekly market, traditional shops, country cafes, pubs and restaurants in easy walking distance. There is a pleasant picnic area by the river. The Herriott Museum is in town and Thirsk Racecourse is near by.
There are good transport links, train station at Carlton Minniott – known as Thirsk – which is about 2 miles away; taxi’s can be contacted to collect you. Buses leave from the Market Square, and the major road systems are just a short distance away.
We have owned Finkleloft since it was built in 2000, it has always been a holiday apartment. We offer one of many guest comments received in each of the sections

A local market is held on Saturday and Monday In the Market Square. Various shops, including a small supermarket, eating pubs and restaurants in the square. Tesco, Lidl and Aldi are close by.
Places of worship: C of E, R.C . Methodist and Family Life Church are in in Thirsk. Hambleton Evangelic Church is at Carlton Miniott and Holly Bush Christian Fellowship at Newsome.
. Thirsk has a Swimming Pool and local Cinema. There is a golf course at Northallerton.
This is a lovely base from which to explore the Dales, North York’s Moors and Scarborough, Whitby and other coastal areas. Helmsley, Ripon and York are all popular days out. Castle Howard, Eden Camp, Rievaulx Abbey and many National Trust and English Heritage properties are within easy reach.

Finkleloft is 2/4 occupancy, situated on the third floor – there is no lift and therefore has no disability access. Designated parking space
Lounge – TV. DVD, Video player: WIFI; Radio/CD player . Books/games various. Two sofa’s – one is a sofa bed.
Kitchen/Diner – Electric cooker, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, toaster. Round table with four chairs.
Bedroom – Double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, hairdryer.
Bathroom – shower over the bath
An all electric property, heating is by night storage heaters.
Electricity costs are included in the price as are all linen and towels.

The costs varies depending on the time of year. They range from £325.00-£400.00 full week and £63.00-£75.00 per night for short breaks.
We are happy to try to accommodate requests for 2 night stays, However, during and including April – September we will normally only accept bookings within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday.
If the sofa bed is required for short breaks there will be a small additional cost of £20.00.
We are a no smoking property both in the apartment and in the apartment building.
We keep our prices as low as possible to benefit all our guests.
Energy Provision: Costs included
Available all year round.
Arrival and Departure times: Arrival 3.30p.m. although we try to be flexible were possible. Departure is 10.00a.m.
Booking Arrangements: Friday is a preferred start day but again we are flexible depending on other bookings and our commitments. Short breaks can be either over a weekend or mid-week.
