Local shopping, restaurants and amenities. Nearest supermarket.

Good selection of restaurants locally in Boat of Garten and Grantown-on-Spey (10 mins) and Aviemore (15 mins), and a handful in Nethy Bridge village including an excellent café serving delicious homemade cakes. Nearest small supermarket 10 minutes away and a small Spar in the village.

 Leisure Attractions – beaches, countryside, parks, etc

 Located in the Spey Valley and part of the Cairngorms National Park in Highland Scotland, the Strathspey area is one of dramatic beauty – mountains, lochs and the majestic Scots pine.

Steading North is a great base for experiencing stunning scenery and wildlife.  A short drive away to beautiful lochs such as Loch Morlich and Loch an Eilein, and plenty of local walks and hills to climb, it’s a lovely spot to be.  Abernethy Forest and Loch Garten are 5 minutes away with ospreys, native wild cats and capercaillie.

Steading North is located on the grounds of Christian Outdoor Centre,  Abernethy Nethy Bridge.


Facilities

Sleeps Up To 5 People. Room 1: 1 King. Room 2: 1 Single And 1 Double Bed.

1 en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, 1 separate shower;

Open-plan, split-level lounge with wood burning stove; Kitchen/dining area; Full kitchen facilities inc. oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave, toaster;

Garden;

DVD player to use with TV (no TV channels available)

Wifi; Bedding and towels provided; Parking by the Cottage.

Second Cottage available too (Steading South) and Bell Tents.

Outdoor Instructors can be booked 1 week in advance, subject to availability, for the day, including canoe, mountain biking adventures, climbing. Minimum charge for a day £120, activity dependent.

£600 For 6 nights

For those clergy and church staff booking via Holyhols, we’ll provide a lovely complimentary welcome basket of basic supplies.

Energy Provision:

Included in weekly rent (Electric heating plus wood burner)

Available all year round.

Arrival and Departure times: 

Arrive 4.00 pm  Saturday

Depart. 10.00 am Friday

Booking arrangements:

Six night bookings only, arrive Saturday, depart 10am Friday.

Pets: Sorry – no pets.
