The village of Cym-Y-Glo is 6 miles from the summit of Snowdon and is ideally suited for walking and climbing. It is 8 miles from Anglesey where there are many beautiful beaches and coastal paths. The nearest sandy beach, Dinas Dinlle, is reached by car in 20 mins and is on the west coast, south west of Caernarfon. The whole area, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, is one of outstanding natural beauty, with many additional attractions including castles, slate quarries, mountain railways, local craft and potteries, woollen mills, pony trekking and canoeing. The Spar shop in Llanberis is open late every day, including Sundays. Llanberis also has a Chemist, Post Office, Fish and Chip Shop and Service-only Launderette. Caernarfon has a large Morrisons on the Bangor Rd A 487. Bangor has a large Tesco on the right as you approach the town from Caernarfon. Recommended pubs and restaurants are listed in cottage.
Facilities
Tyn Gerddi is an attractive, solidly built detached stone cottage, situated in a quiet lane near the center of the village, a few minutes walk from the bus route. It is particularly suitable for walkers and climbers, and for families in the spring and summer months as there is a patio area with table and chairs in the small enclosed garden. It sleeps 6/7 in 3 bedrooms, one with a 4ft bed (suitable as small double or single) and 2 with 3ft bunk beds. There is a folding bed for an extra person in the living room.
The cottage is fully equipped with double glazing. The living room has a small colour digital TV with DVD player, and digital radio, and open fire. The kitchen is equipped with electric cooker, microwave oven and fridge. The bathroom has an electric shower over the Bath and a shaver socket with hot water provided by immersion heater. Heating is by 3 storage heaters and electric fires in all the rooms. Bed linen is provided. Parking space for 1 car in front of the cottage, and for a second car in the garage.

Charges are from £280 out of season to £480 per week in August
There are discounts for Clergy/Ministers and Church Staff. Please ask for details.
Energy Provision: All electricity charges (there is no gas) are included in the rent. If you want to light the open fire you will need to buy fuel which is available locally.

Available 365 days in the year.
Arrival and Departure times: Access to the cottage is normally after 4 pm, and we ask you to vacate the cottage by 10 am on your departure day.
Booking arrangements: Bookings can be for as few or many nights required, except for the Spring Bank Holiday week, the last week in July, and in August when Saturday to Saturday bookings are preferred.
Pets: All pets are welcome, within reason. In spring and summer, you will need to keep dogs on leads at all times and on the mountains, dogs are often forbidden, on or off leads.
