Local Area
Our ”home from home’ in the famous maritime village of Moelfre provides contemporary coastal accommodation for up to 8 guests. It is the perfect location to explore the island of Anglesey or simply enjoy everything on your doorstep!
From the bungalow you are straight onto the coastal path with numerous beaches within easy reach and a few minutes walk to the local pub The Kinmel Arms, the beautiful independent restaurant Ann’s Pantry or traditional fish and chips at the Coastal Café beach. Y Siop is a small convenience store where you can buy most things including freshly made sandwiches and baked goods. The calm sheltered cove at Moelfre main beach is perfect for wild swimming, paddle boards and kayaking. Be sure to visit the lifeboat station next to the house, learn about the incredible bravery of Molefre’s lifeboat crews throught the ages and watch practice launches! If you’re a keen angler you can fish from the rocks a short walk from the house- just beware the seals who are notorious for taking fish off the line! The famous LLigwy beach is a short drive away for beautiful sandy days by the sea.
Venture slightly further afield to find the stunning martian landscape walk around Parys Mountain, the famous sea salt of Halen Mon, Beaumaris with its famous castle, picturesque shops and newest attraction outdoor sauna, Menai Bridge with its famous suspension bridge and Michelin Star restaurant, Newborough beach for stunning walks to Llanddwyn Island, South Stack for birdwatching where you have a good chance of seeing Puffins from April to July and two National Trust houses Plas Newydd and Penrhyn Castle.
If you fancy a sweet treat head to Mr Holt’s Mônuts for delicious handmade donuts and chocolates or freshly made milkshakes from the Llefrith Nant Dairy vending machine with new flavours weekly! If you can’t get enough of Mr Holt try out his latest attraction the Chocolate Factory Escape Room!
For the more adventurous Rhosneigr is the perfect spot for thrill seeking watersports enthusiasts or the Anglesey Racing circuit if you feel the need for speed!
Great days out for young children in all weather can be had at Pili Palas or the Anglesey Sea Zoo.
