How to get there:

By Bus

From centre of Horsmonden village, outside the shop.  Check the timetable in the village for timings.

By Rail

Paddock Wood – 10 minutes away by car

Wadhurst – 15 minutes away by car

By Road

M25 from London direction onto the A21.  Turn off at roundabout to Goudhurst and then immediately left again to Horsmonden.  Following this, take third left into road signed ‘Marle Place Road’.

Accessible from the following London airports:  Gatwick,  Stansted, London City, Heathrow.

Local Area

Closest place to shop is Horsmonden village.  Also, a pharmacy and a pub (The ‘Gun n’ Spitroast’). Horsmonden is a twenty minute walk or a two minute drive.

Paddock Wood has a Waitrose, a small Morrisons and a small Tesco.  There is also a NatWest Bank, a pharmacy, various Take Aways and an Optician.

Tunbridge Wells carries everything expected in a larger town, along with Tonbridge and Maidstone.

Various beaches are just over an hour away by car.

There are lots of parks in the local towns and villages, and many leisure centres.

Knole Park in Sevenoaks is a magnificent 600 year old National Trust estate.  The Rocks near Tunbridge Wells are a fascinating attraction for visitors, and provide children with endless climbing opportunities.

Many other leisure features are available in and around Kent.


Facilities

There is a kitchen, with electric hob and cooker.  Facilities needed for cooking also included.  A washing machine and dryer, plus fridge freezer is available.

TV and Wi-Fi plus table and chairs and sofa are provided.

The bathroom has a shower.

The upstairs bedroom has a double bed.

If there is need for more sleeping provision than the double bed, in summer there is a pod behind the garage, with an additional double bed.   (Guests who wish to book this need to phone a week in advance, to enable it to be set up.)

It is possible to erect a tent, however, a phone call is needed at least a week prior to arrival to book the pitch.

When the weather is suitable an outdoor barbeque facility is available.

Finally, the chicken pen is very near to the pod.

Costs

£50 per night per person, with a minimum of 3 nights required.  If the Pod required there is an additional charge of £30 per night.  Camping may be possible but needs a prior phone call.

Clergy and paid church staff are offered a discounted price of £40 per night.

Energy Provision:

There is an additional charge for supply of electricity which is determined by meter readings.


Availability

Available all year around.  Great location if you’re coming for a local wedding and need accommodation.

Arrival and Departure times:   Arrival from 2 pm – if arriving late, please let us know in advance.  Departure by 10.30 am.

Booking arrangements:   Swallow garage is ideal for weekends and long weekends.  During the summer, please let us know if you will need any further space.

Pets:   One well behaved dog welcome.
