How to get there:
Due to our rural location 7 km from Marciac, 16 km from Mirande, own transport is needed to enjoy the facilities of the area to the fullest.
We are 40 km from Auch train station.
We are 116 km (95 mins) from Toulouse airport, (EasyJet, Ryan Air and British Airways). 56 km from Lourdes / Tarbes airport, (Ryan Air).
From the channel ports and tunnel of Dieppe and Calais we normally allow 12 hours to drive with regular stops. St Malo is closer.
Local Area
For relaxation there is a south facing swimming pool looking out over the countryside to the Pyrenees mountains. There are also quiet spaces with seating in the garden and indoors a games room / studio for reading painting and drawing.
We are 10 minutes from Marciac with its supermarket shops and restaurants. It is famous for its annual Jazz Festival in late July.
All around us are small villages each with there own market day and restaurants. The main town of Auch with its historic cathedral has a large market on Thursday.
Take a gentle walk around the lake at Marciac (2.6 km) the signposted country side walks or walk part of the Camino Pilgrimage route passing nearby.
Lourdes is an hour away, on route to the Pyrenees mountains, Cauterets and Pont d’Espagne in the national park.
Take a day trip, cross the mountains and drop into Spain.
Visit the beach at Lake Lupiac, of Musketeer D’Artagnan fame, and nearby Lake at Aignan with it’s water and adventure activities including a zip wire across the lake, both 30 minutes away.
There are many golf courses in the are the closest being at The Chateau de Pallanne.
Facilities
Gite 1
Designed for the mobility challenged and wheelchair users, this ground floor unit is one of two fully-equipped self contained apartments, situated in the southern part of the Gers, a short distance from Marciac. Come and recharge your batteries in the Gascon countryside!
The gites are equipped with kitchen and a living room with TV (English & French). They are ideal for a peaceful holiday. Patio doors link the lounge to an enclosed patio area, its own outdoor space with its table and chairs for family meals. You will find yourself in the countryside with rolling hills facing the Pyrenees.
The one bedroom has twin beds, and the lounge has a double bed settee. The shower room / toilet has plenty of space for wheel chair users.
Guests can also cool off in the swimming pool or relax in the games area with a game of ping pong or darts.
Baby High Chair, travel cot etc available on request.
Bedding and towels are provided.
There is undercover parking by the main door.

Gite 2.
This first floor unit is one of two fully-equipped self contained holiday units, situated in the heart of the Gers. Come and recharge your batteries in the Gascon countryside!
As with the ground floor unit our gites are equipped with a full size kitchen and a living room with TV (English & French). They have a shower and toilet.
This unit has two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a king size double bed and Bedroom 2 has a full size bunk bed. It also has a double bed settee in the lounge.
It is ideal for a peaceful holiday, and can have its own outdoor space with table and chairs for family meals. There is a BBQ on the veranda.
You will find yourself in the countryside with rolling hills facing the Pyrenees.
Guests can also cool off in the swimming pool or relax in the games area with a game of ping pong or darts. A wonderful retreat for the whole family, great for walks, on easy-to-navigate hiking trails, in particular around Tillac, or follow the Camino route into Marciac or onto Mabourguet.

Costs
All charges are per week, and include all energy used, and local taxes. We would normally take bookings Saturday to Saturday, but please ask as we can be flexible out of high season.
January – April £250

November – December £250
We offer a 10% discount to all involved in Christian Ministry.
We also offer a 10% discount if both units are booked together.
Additional discounts can be arranged for stays longer than two weeks, please ask John or Joy.
Energy Provision: All electric – charges included in tariff.
Availability
Available all year round.
Arrival and Departure times:
We would ask that arrival is after 15-00 and departure is by 11-00 the following Saturday, but are aware of the travel challenges so can be flexible if advised.
Booking arrangements: Saturday to Saturday, except by special arrangement outside of main holiday seasons
