This the most peaceful location we have ever lived in, and we’d love you to experience it. Our purpose-built super-cosy Shepherd’s Hut is directly on the Three Castles Walk, tucked away in a private corner of the field next to our own Eco home.
We’re surrounded by beautiful countryside, close to the Offa’s Dyke Path, the Skirrid, the Sugarloaf and Bannau Brycheiniog (formerly known as the Brecon Beacons). After a day walking and exploring, you can lie in bed watching the sheep and cattle in the distance, or relax with a movie on the large screen.
In addition, if requested, I can also offer tailor made guided retreats for guests.
Facilities
The purpose-built Shepherd’s Hut sleeps 2 adults. It has a comfortable double bed which folds away to reveal the table with a small sofa and storage.
We provide linen and towels.
There’s an excellent shower, hand-basin and a modern Swedish designed composting toilet.
The small kitchen area has a microwave, slow cooker, toaster, kettle and a small fridge.
Outside, there is a gazebo with seating, a table and a smoker barbecue.
The hut is all seasons – it has underfloor heating and a small wood burner. There’s wifi and a projector for watching TV and movies.
I can also offer guided retreats to guests on an additional donation basis: https://www.lorrainecavanagh.net/guided-retreats
We regret that there is no disability access or space for a wheelchair in the hut.
