Travel access options – rail, road, coach, flights etc
Travel to the Isle of Wight by car/passenger ferry or hovercraft from Portsmouth, Southampton or Lymington. The closest ferry port to us is the Lymington to Yarmouth route (we are less than 10 minutes drive from Yarmouth).
The cabins are situated a short distance from the lovely town of Yarmouth in West Wight with its Victorian pleasure pier, the longest wooden pier in England.
Local shopping, restaurants and amenities.
Local pub/ restaurant in Shalfleet – one mile away, Yarmouth Town with local pubs/ restaurants, shops (including convenience store) – two miles away.
A large Co-op is situated in Freshwater approximately a 15 minute drive.
Larger shops including Sainsburys, Morrisons, Asda, M&S and Lidl are all located in Newport, approximately a 20 minutes drive.
The Island has many wonderful pubs and restaurants, many overlooking the sea with fantastic views.
Leisure Attractions – beaches, countryside, parks, etc
There are great places to walk such as the Hamstead and Tennyson Trails. We are situated less than a 5 minute walk from a bus stop, so leave your car and explore the island by the Island’s wonderful bus service or bring/ hire a bike locally.
There are many local beaches including Compton Bay, Colwell Bay, Alum Bay and Freshwater Bay. Take a ride on the Alum Bay chair lift to the beach below. Explore Fort Victoria Country Park and much more across the Island.
Our cabins are equipped with a double bed and a double sofa bed, so they can comfortably sleep up to 4 people, and there is space for a small pup tent if required. There is undercover parking for one car per cabin. Cabins have a fully fitted kitchen with combi microwave oven, fridge/freezer, toaster and induction hob. All crockery and cutlery are supplied. The shower room is complete with a lovely corner shower, basin and flushing WC.
The double bed has a high quality mattress with topper for extra comfort. The sofa bed also has a topper. All bedding and towels are provided.
You can eat at the table inside the cabin or enjoy the outdoors and eat at the picnic table next to your cabin.
Between £100 per night (i.e. January, minimum 2 nights stay) and £145 per night (i.e. August, minimum 4 nights stay).
10% discount for full time Church staff or 5% discount for 5 nights or more.
Energy Provision – Costs included or excluded from above charges
Gas and electric costs are included in the price.
The cabins are available all year round as they are fully insulated, double glazed and heated.
All cabins can be hired together for couples, family or Church use (allowing for availability and agreeing to site rules).
Arrival and Departure times:
Arrival between 5.00 pm and 7.00 pm, departure 10.00 am.
We accept bookings to start any day of the week.
