Ardconnel is a late 19th century Victorian granite highland home, offering original features alongside modern facilities, and the space and quietness for a truly peaceful stay – or alternatively, the perfect setting for a get-together of families and friends.
Lovingly nurtured over six years, this beautiful home is now offered by its owners – who are based elsewhere leading a Christian ministry – in the hope that like-minded folk and families can enjoy it just as much as they have.
There’s just over half an acre of garden, with a fire pit at the back, space for games at the front, and land all around for a spacious feel and quiet places to sit and read. The woodlands opposite – owned and operated by a local trust – have been the source of red squirrels and deer in the garden, and the bird life is particularly joyful when a siskin flashes in and out.
Five en-suite rooms are available, including a stunning four-poster room, a super king master with a gloriously large bath, a ground floor twin with its own entrance, a 3/4 room, and a second floor double. With two living rooms, there are ways to embrace both quiet and busyness at the same time. Extra mattresses and bedding are available – just email to discuss.
With serious amounts of beauty and grandeur on the doorstep – whether explored on foot, by bicycle, in a canoe, or by car – there’s a richness of ways to get out and about. Don’t forget the Moray coast: wonderful for rock pools and beautiful sandy beaches.
