HolyHols.co.uk is a Christian holiday property listing website connecting Christian families, clergy, and church workers with holiday properties offered by fellow Christians. The website is owned and managed by:

We currently collect personal data only from property owners and those who apply to list a property on our website. We do not currently collect personal data from general website visitors.

From Property Owners and Listing Applicants

When you submit a property listing application or update your listing, we may collect:

  • Your full name and contact details (email address, telephone number, postal address)
  • Details about your property (location, description, availability, pricing, facilities)
  • Your church or faith community affiliation (where provided)
  • Payment information processed via Stripe (we do not store your card details – see Section 6)
  • Any correspondence you send to us by email or through our contact forms

Automatically Collected Data

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics collects information about how visitors use our site, including which pages are visited, how long visitors spend on the site, and how they arrived. This helps us understand our audience and improve the website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data – these are only placed on your device if you consent via our cookie banner. The data collected is anonymised and aggregated; it does not identify you personally. 4. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use the personal data we collect to:

  • Process and publish your property listing on our website
  • Manage your subscription and send renewal reminders
  • Process your subscription payment via Stripe
  • Respond to your enquiries and provide customer support
  • Send you important updates about the website or your listing
  • Comply with our legal obligations

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We only share your personal data where necessary and with trusted parties. These currently include:

  • Stripe – our payment processor. Stripe handles all payment transactions securely. We do not store your card details. You can read Stripe’s privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
  • Google LLC – who provide Google Analytics. Data collected is anonymised and used only for website analytics. See policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Our web hosting provider – who stores the website and its data on secure servers.
  • Legal or regulatory authorities – where we are required to do so by law.

All third parties we work with are required to handle your data in accordance with UK GDPR.

All subscription payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. When you make a payment, you are entering your card details directly and securely with Stripe – HolyHols.co.uk never sees, receives, or stores your full card number or bank details.

We may retain records of payment transactions (amount, date, and a reference number) for accounting and legal compliance purposes.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary:

  • Active listing data is kept for the duration of your subscription and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you wish to renew.
  • Payment and financial records are kept for 6 years in line with HMRC requirements.
  • Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is relevant to the ongoing relationship.

When your data is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymise it.

8. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

  • The right to access – you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
