How to get there:
A car is important during your visit because we are in rural France with very limited public transport. If you come by rail or air you can easily hire cars for the duration of your stay.
Rail is easy via Paris to Bordeaux (2 hours) then local train to Bergerac (1 hour)
Bergerac Airport (40 minutes by car), Bordeaux Airport and Toulouse Airport (2 hours by car)
Ferry/Tunnel to Calais and then 10 hours by car (recommended stopover around Chartres or Orleans)
Ferry to St Malo and then 6 hours by car
Nearest Town:
Monpazier, Villereal, Monflanquin (Historic bastide towns), Bergerac, Sarlat, Cahors, Agen
Local Area
Set in a beautiful and peaceful location, our renovated Dordgone farm has walks from the door. We are 2km from Biron with an Auberge and small shop. Monpazier and Villereal have many excellent restaurants, bars and supermarkets with very old market squares and historic buildings. Bergerac and Sarlat have larger hyper-markets
There is something for everyone. Dozens of medieval castles and historic towns, great locally produced food, activities such as walking, cycling, canoeing along the Dordogne, Vezere and Lot rivers, vineyard tours and wine tastings in both the Bergerac and Lot valleys, pre-historic caves and museums, fresh food markets, antiques and flea markets.
Facilities
We have four gites with a total capacity of 16 which can be rented individually or in groups.
Noyer: sleeps 5 in two double bedrooms (which can be made up as twins) and a further single bedroom accessed directly off one of the doubles.
Genévrier: Sleeps 3-4 with a double bedroom and a double mezzanine sofa-bed
Palmier: Sleeps 4 in two double bedrooms (which can be made up as twins)
La Vigne: Sleeps 4 in a double bedroom and single beds on a mezzanine.
Each property has a private outdoor dining terrace (La Vigne has a private garden) and there is a communal covered space for dining by the courtyard. The grounds are extensive and so there is always a quite place to sit and snooze. We have a large pool (14m by 7m) with sun loungers and covered space. Each property has French and English TV (La Vigne French only), free wifi. We include cotton bed linen, towels, pool towels, cleaning charges and tourist tax in our fees.

Costs
Charges range from €95 to €155 per night between low and high season (including bed linen, towels, pool towels, utilities, cleaning and tourist tax). July and August 7 nights minimum with Saturday change-over. At other times of the year arrival and departure days are flexible with three night minimum stay.
Energy Provision:
Utility costs are included – during early spring and late autumn and winter you may need to use logs for the stoves. We provide these at 50€ for 0.5 cubic metres which is normally sufficient for a week of late afternoon/evening use.
Availability
Genévrier is available all year round.
Noyer, Palmier and La Vigne are available from Easter to the end of October.

Arrival between 17.00h and 21.00h. Departures between 6.00h and 10.00h
Booking arrangements:
July, August and May half-term arrivals/departures on Saturday only and 7 night minimum stay. Other times, arrival and departure day flexible with 3 night minimum.
Pets: Sorry -no pets.
