Local Area

The area is famous for its seafood and especially for oysters. A wide range of seafood restaurants, creperies, brasseries, bars and cafes are available in Cancale town, a 5 minute drive from the house. Cafes and restaurants also at Port Mer beach. Large supermarket, a 5 minute drive from the house. Shops, bank, boulangeries and weekly market in Cancale town.

Port Mer is situated on the western peninsula of the Bay of Mont St Michel, just outside the town of Cancale. This part of Brittany is known as ‘The Emerald Coast’ with breath taking scenery, miles of coastal walks, and award winning sandy beaches. Port Mer beach, family friendly with swimming, and a sailing school is just a 5 minute walk from the house. Horse riding, go-karting, zoo, aquarium, fishing nearby. Historic and interesting towns such as Dinan, Dinard and St Malo and not far from the border with Normandy. Special seasonal summer events including open air concerts, craft and food markets.


Facilities

A modern and well equipped home. Situated in a cul-de-sac of 12 houses occupied by French speaking owners, the homes are used as either holiday or permanent dwellings. Our house has its own garage and garden and is just a 5 minutes’ walk from the local beach. Car parking on site.

The house sleeps 6 people in three bedrooms; one with a double bed and two with twin single beds. All come with duvets and pillows, however you will need to bring your own bed linen and towels. The house has a bathroom that includes a shower and bath with separate toilet. Additional downstairs toilet.

Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. TV for DVD use only. A selection of board games, books, puzzles and DVDs. Child-friendly house, stair gate to fit if needed.

Garden and patio suitable for summer dining.

Open plan living,/dining room with traditional Breton log.

There is no cleaning service, guests are required to clean the house before departure.

Costs

£650 a week.

Energy Provision: Costs inclusive of electricity.
